"Skeleton-ifying"
Pixel Woods has had a long run, and I’ve learnt a lot about how not to script whilst building it. In fact, I’m still paying a monthly fee for my bad scripting.
So over the next week or two Pixel Woods will see a makeover. The goal is not to boost member numbers - admittedly it’s the opposite; my interests have moved on and I no longer have the time or will to make Pixel Woods...

Sorry for the lack of updates everyone! It seems that every significant event this year has fallen into the same few weeks. I can gladly say that I now have a slightly better job and a driver’s license. Unfortunately I also have a lot less time and energy now (although significantly less debt!)
I will look again into converting, editing and uploading the ‘how I draw the PixelWoods...

The latest pets!
(I forgot to write a post last week - woops!)
Last week’s pet was the hippo, and this week’s the kangaroo. I hope you like them!
I’ve been very busy the last week, sorting out licenses, a job and organizing an overseas trip. I’ll try to keep up to date with the pets here, but please forgive me for the lack of content!
Another visitor from the ocean
The tides bring seahorse eggs today! Another wildly colorful pet is added to the adoption page, this time in place of the hedgehogs.
I’ve recorded the process I went through creating these pets, and I’ll post again once I’ve edited it and shortened it down thoroughly. We’ll see how it turns out!

Required clicks tweak

Starting this week there will be two notable changes:
Only one pet will be release per week
Pet click requirements have been raised
And while I’m throwing lists around, here is my reasoning behind this change:

Another batch of pets!

I’m also starting to code the Pet Grouping script, so you will finally be able to organize your pets. Imagine that!

Just a note:
Pet switch day has been moved to Monday, in part because the weekend is a good opportunity for people to pick up pets at the last second and part because I’ve been crook over the weekend.

Another week, another pet pack
The (from left to right) rat, large cat and octopus!
Most of the rats are based on fancy hooded rats, but the octopi and large cats feature several different species are their different outcomes.

Hats! (And other fun stuff)
I’ve just activated the pet customization feature, and handed a Tall hat out to every existing user. This means there’s only 651 in existence, and I don’t plan on creating any more Tall hats!
You can experiment with your new hats in the My Pets > Customize page, and please let me know what you think on the forums (also tell me if there are any bugs).

Promotional Pets
A few minutes ago I phased the whales out, and in their place came the Fennec Fox!
I hear they squeak when you poke them.
Also:
I forgot to mention, but we’ve started phasing three pets out per week along with three new ones. That way there’ll always be 12 pets available, not including promotional ones.
Hopefully this should give y’all a reason to be trading, and add a little scarcity and value to your collection!

Three new pets today, just as promised! The images above are the most common variations of each, but I assure you there are a few rarer, more iconic variations. :)
I also have a much requested, very cute promo pet that you’ll see tomorrow when the whales are phased out, so you donators out there will hopefully be very pleased!
